Upskillist Sdn Bhd Honored in the Malaysia Book of Records: A Milestone in TVET Excellence

On July 16, 2024, the Malaysia TVET Education Association (PPTVM) successfully hosted the 2024 Skills and Vocational Education Graduation Ceremony at Dewan Sultan Iskandar, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). This prestigious event marked the graduation of 277 skilled professionals, including 134 certified TVET instructors from various fields.


Elevating TVET Education and Nurturing Future Master Craftsmen

In her speech, Dr. Lisa Boo, President of PPTVM and the World Entrepreneur Institute (WEI), emphasized the crucial role of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in shaping Malaysia’s workforce and economic growth. She firmly believes that these graduates will significantly contribute to their respective industries and help change public perception—proving that TVET is not just an alternative for underachievers but a key driver in cultivating high-caliber skilled professionals.

The ceremony was graced by prominent figures, including Mohamad Musa (representing Ida Yudalan from the National Technical Development Agency - Southern Region), Dato’ Tee Siew Kiong (represented by Fan Wen Zheng, Advisor of the Johor Digital Economy), Dato’ Paduka Dr. Yang Kok Wai (President of the National Consumer Action Council, represented by Maziruldi, Secretary-General of the Council), and Dato’ Qiu Zihe, Honorary Doctorate and Founder of OE Young Entrepreneurs Academy.


Upskillist Sdn Bhd Recognized in the Malaysia Book of Records

A major highlight of the event was Upskillist Sdn Bhd’s official recognition in the Malaysia Book of Records, solidifying its reputation as a leader in the TVET education sector. This remarkable achievement highlights Upskillist’s outstanding contributions to professional skills training and workforce development.

In addition, WEI signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with 25 companies, strengthening industry collaboration to enhance vocational education and career opportunities.

Meanwhile, five WEI-affiliated companies set new national records, securing their place in the Malaysia Book of Records:

  • Professional Skill Training Centre: The institution with the most instructors certified under the National Dual Training System (SLDN)
  • Bos Alliance Sdn Bhd: First real estate company to offer SLDN-certified training programs
  • PT Wealth Consultancy Sdn Bhd: First insurance company to offer SLDN-certified training programs
  • Pancar Academy Sdn Bhd: First mobile phone repair academy to offer SLDN-certified training programs
  • Eurogain Consulting Group Sdn Bhd: First accounting firm to offer SLDN-certified training programs
